Deschutes River 3 Day, 2 Night Steelhead Package

Enjoy fly fishing for steelhead as you float 25 to 45 miles of the Lower Deschutes River.  Each day you will enjoy new water and scenery, and each evening you will arrive at a fully prepared camp to enjoy appetizers, beverages, and hearty meals.

Macks Canyon to the Columbia Float

We fly fish with spey rods on the lower most section of the Deschutes July, August, and September.  During this time, steelhead are fresh and hot.  Finding them can be a challenge, but with some strategy (or luck!) you can have the steelhead fly fishing trip of a lifetime down here.

Trout Creek to Maupin Float

October and November are the best months to fly fish for steelhead from Trout Creek to Maupin.  This section of the Deschutes is guarded by Class III+ Whitehorse Rapids.  The scenery is wild, and so is the fishing.

What is Provided

On multi day float trips River Runner Outfitters will provide a guide and boat per two anglers, all meals, snacks, and beverages, camps, and camping equipment, and dry bags.  You will need waders and wading boots, an Oregon angling license and steelhead tag, a BLM boater pass, and a sleeping bag and pillow.  We will gladly assist with these items, not included in the price of your trip.
