One Day Guided Trout Trip

Fly fish the Lower Deschutes River for trout with guides who know the Deschutes, and are passionate about being out here.

Deschutes River Full Day Trout Float Trip

Your Deschutes River float trip begins by meeting your guide at 8:00 am.  You will "carpool" with your guide to the river and back.  Your day of fly fishing the Deschutes River will last about eight or nine hours. For a one day trout float trip you have two options... Warm Springs to Trout Creek, or the Maupin area. You may either choose yourself, or let us guide you to the best fishing.

Warm Springs to Trout Creek Float

Warm Springs to Trout Creek is a beautiful ten mile stretch of river just below Pelton Dam.  This section flows through a thousand foot deep canyon, and is rich with aquatic bugs and big trout.  Popular with anglers coming from Sunriver or Bend, Oregon, floating Warm Springs to Trout Creek will give you a good Central Oregon fly fishing experience.

Maupin Area

The Lower Deschutes near Maupin, Oregon is our back yard!  Several beats of river provide boat access to 35 miles of trout habitat.  The river near Maupin is less crowded with anglers, and highly populated with redsides.  Hatches happen first here, and the river is open year round.  The Lower Deschutes River near Maupin, Oregon is the choice for anglers traveling from Portland or PDX.

What is Provided

On a one day guided trout trip, River Runner Outfitters will provide a guide and boat per two anglers, lunch, snacks, and beverages.  You will need waders and wading boots, and Oregon angling license, a Warm Springs Tribal Permit (Warm Springs to Trout Creek only), a BLM boater pass, and flies.  We will gladly assist with these items, not included in the price of your trip.
